Toronto and sight seeing
One ton of sea weed. We saw many take up their hooks that looked like this, but luckily our wasn´t..
Long time no hear :) Have been a bit busy! We left the nature / archipelago to visit the marina to install a new thermostat in the cooling water system on one engine and pick up our young ones at Toronto airport.
Well, things doesen´t always turn out as expected...
1. The forward head and the water pump went on a strike just when left for Toronto (to pick up the kids)
2. The hotel in Toronto we booked was ............... not so good ... *€%#
3. Discovered that we went a day too early to pick up the kids......
4. We were stuck (hungry) up in the lookout tower (450m above sealevel) with tens of thousands other due to elevator trubbel
5. When we got back to the marina the thermostat was replaced BUT the generator on one engine was broken and had to be fixed......
6. It's raining, it´s windy and it´s cold ......
... there is definitely "room for improvement".......
Midland is a cozy town (not yet a city) with its specialty "graphite paintings" on the facades of the village. They also have the best pizza we have eaten on a many good day.
Toronto; is "I want to live here city". A lovely city (with 2.8 million) We dare say that we just scratched the outer surface, but what we saw, we liked. This, despite the fact that there are quite a few "homeless" on the streets and many skyscrapers that are deadly impersonal :(
Niagara Falls was both a wow experience and a super disappointment. Making the area around the amazing scenes to a circus with carousels, fast food, fire breathing dinosaurs...! But the Falls was super cool!
Now we are waiting for spare parts and hoping we can get away today - two days delayed according to our origin plan .... but with a little sun in view, according to the forecast. Guess if we hold your thumbs!
