Small towns along the rivers

Lilla Grafton ligger i mynningen till stora Mississippi River. Vi tog ett stopp där och i lilla Alton i Mississippi, för sedan skulle det bli långa etapper på den vilda och hårt trafikerade floden, med bara en marina att komma i skydd i. Vi är varnade! Vi är beredda!

I Grafton blev det lite Loopers meeting igen, det var ett bra tag sedan sist. Här firade vi Kent och Jan på " Follow that dream" som nu korsat sitt kölvatten och fullgjort hela varvet, de är nu Guldloopers med den äran, kul :D

Grafton var en liten by med en gata och en marina, that's it! Det enda intressanta var en virkes- och snickeributik som hade intressanta produkter, framskakade av "retired veterans". Synd bara at de var alltför stora att släpa med sig till Björnrike :)

I Alton tog vi cyklarna till stan och letade efter mänskligt liv. Det var inte lätt att finns. I en möbelaffär såg vi några människor och gick in och fick en trevlig pratstund med ägarinnan (som dock vägrade att frakta en gungstol som vi gärna ville ha, till Sverige). I Alton gick Lasse in i en vapenaffär (vad är det för fel...) och där såg vi en märklig jakttrofé, se nedan och Blues Brothers... här står tiden stilla!

Little Grafton is located in the mouth of the Great Mississippi River. We took a stop there and in little Alton in Mississippi River for after these stops we would be on the wild and hard-trafficed river, with only one marina to get in. We are warned! We are prepared!

In Grafton, there was a little Loopers meeting again, it was a while since. Here we celebrated Kent and Jan on "Follow that dream" who now crossed their wake and completed the entire Loop, they are now Goldloopers with that honor, cool!

Grafton was a small town with one street and a marina, that's it! The only interesting thing was a wood and carpentry shop that had interesting products, advocated by "retired veterans". Too bad they were too big to bring home.

In Alton we took the bikes to town and searched for human life. It was not easy to find. In a furniture store we saw some people and went in and had a nice chat with the owner (who refused to ship a rocking chair we would like to send to Sweden). In Alton, Lasse entered a weapon store (what's wrong ...) and there we saw a strange hunting trophy, see below and Blues Brothers ... here the time stands still!
